Running cost is simple physics: power (kW) × hours × electricity price. Enter the rated power from the label or spec sheet and your own tariff.

Ways to lower the bill
Use a humidistat target. A unit that stops once the room reaches your setpoint runs fewer hours than one on continuous. EPA's guidance is below 60% RH, ideally 30–50%[1] — aiming much lower than needed just costs energy.
Reduce the moisture load. EPA lists venting moisture-producing appliances outdoors and running bath and kitchen fans as ways to reduce humidity[1].
Hours of operation vary hugely with climate and moisture sources; measure your actual runtime (many units or a plug-in energy meter show it) and re-enter it here.
